Bored At The Hospital

Yes, I was in the hospital the whole time I was absent here in the blogosphere. If you are wondering what I’m doing there, my darling husband was hospitalized. He was twisting in pain for one whole day before we finally decided to bring him to the hospital. We were there since Monday and we went home just early this morning. Why? He had stones in his right kidney. Don’t ask me to elaborate further, please. I’m not good with medical terms. All I understand is that some of the stone was expelled when he urinated and the doctor said it was a good thing but there is still a bigger one blocking his ureter, the tube connecting the kidney and the bladder. As of now, he is fine, but he still needs to undergo a shockwave treatment or an operation or else his kidney condition will complicate.

Meanwhile, it is indeed so boring in the hospital. I never left the hospital the whole time we were there and I wasn’t able to bring my pocketbook or something that would occupy me. I have nothing to do except watch TV when my husband was fast asleep. A few times, I just chose to eat or sleep over watching TV as there is no show that would interest me. I don’t think the hospital we stayed in has Direct TV as there are only a few channels to choose from. In my opinion, I suppose it would be better if hospitals subscribe to Satellite Directv so that watchers like me would be able to enjoy hundreds of channels while taking care of our sick loved ones.

Isn’t it wonderful if the hospital we stayed in has DirectTV where we pass the time by watching movie after movie? I’m not saying that so that we would keep coming back to the hospital. Let’s admit it, we don’t know when sickness strikes and it would be nice to stay in a hospital where we won’t get bored to death. Right? Well, I just hope and pray none of us would get sick. Keep healthy everyone!
