It has been almost four months when burglars got in our house but the shock and disbelief is still very fresh. The fact that someone got in our house in the middle of the night while we are sound asleep is traumatic enough and indeed so hard to forget. What if they did something wrong to us while we were amidst our sleep? Just the mere thought of it gives me goose bumps. Thank God, nothing wrong happened to us and that the burglars left our house as silently as they entered.
I’m not that upset that they took the laptop, the notebook and the camera as they are just material things that can be replaced. What upsets me is the priceless content of those things—the hundreds of files and thousands of pictures. Pictures of my kids since childbirth are forever lost. Pictures of events I’ve tried to capture are now doomed to eternal forgetfulness. Memories I’ve tried to document are now stolen. It’s my fault, though; I have been so dependent with technology. I kept postponing the printing or saving of the pictures into a CD/DVD, too confident that nothing wrong will happen to them. But I was wrong.
What happened was an eye opener to us. It made us realize that we are not safe even if we have security guards doing their rounds and watch dogs outside the house. Robbers would really exhaust all means to get inside a house. That incident made us more careful on where to place our valuables and to always see to it that the doors and windows are securely locked. We even bought a security vault and more dogs are set loose to roam around our house during the night. Hubby also bought a home security system for added security. We can sleep more soundly now, but constantly alert even to the tiniest unusual sound we would hear.
Due to global crisis, some people resort to robbing in order to survive. I recommend for an immediate installation of a home security surveillance system. With it, you have nothing to worry while sleeping, you can sleep more soundly and priceless items are left to last a lifetime. Visit homesecurityteam.com for more home security ideas.

Hi
Dropping by to ask for your prayers and support for the victims of Typhoon Ondoy. Many have already passed away, thousands are still missing and even more are left without food, shelter and clothing. Children have been separated from their parents. We really need your help - even in prayers alone as this was one of the worst flooding that has struck Metro Manila, Philippines. It is only now that we have started to rebuild, but the damages to life and property is horrendous.
Sincerely
Metz
