Lights, Please!

It's a warm Saturday and I'm very glad there is no brownout today. For more than a month already we've been experiencing electrical failure every Saturday from morning to dusk. Sometimes during weekdays, electrical failure will occur during the night, interrupting my favorite TV shows. Oh how I hate it when I miss the much awaited ending of my favorite TV series. I can't count the number of endings I've missed just because of the perfect timing of the brownout. What I dislike most is groping in the dark to look for a candle or a flashlight. I have to warn my kids to stay where they are so as not to hurt themselves.

Brownout would lasts for hours that we once in a while ran out of candles. Furthermore, Ton-Ton likes to play with the flashlight. He likes to play with it even in broad daylight. So when brownout comes, we have a flashlight with dead batteries. We end up using our cell phones as flashlights to guide us to our rooms and try to sleep amidst the humidity and darkness of the night.



Speaking of flashlights, it’s a good thing Magnalight.com offers a wide variety of marine led lights for us to choose from. I went through their products and I specifically like the rechargeable HID flashlight above. It uses an HID bulb so it produces more light with less energy over a long period of time. Undoubtedly, Ton-Ton will have a hard time consuming its batteries.
